The Qur’an is the heart and soul of Islam. It is the ultimate and uncontested authority in the worldview of Islam which decides truth from falsehood and right from wrong. Everything that is Islamic has its origin in or takes inspiration from the Qur’an, whether it is a question of norms of daily life, tenets of faith, law or spirituality. And because the Qur’an is the highest code for Muslims in everything relating to their spiritual, religious, ethical, social and legal matters, they have been strongly prompted to study and teach it. In this package is a Holy Quran Arabic recitation of sudais and shuraim where each recited verse is followed by its clear, pure, and easy to understand contemporary English translation. The meaning is highly accurate, the sentence structure is simple, and the flow is smooth. The translation has no interpretations & no explanations. It is purely a translation from the Arabic language to contemporary English. This is the complete set of the Holy Qur’an (114 surahs/chapters) along with an English Verse-by-Verse translation. The Arabic is recited by Shaykh Sudais and Shaykh Shuraim. The English translation is read by Naeem Sultan using the Pickthall Translation.

The version of (خواطر الشعراوي) in this app is the text (i.e readable) version only. 5. Asbab An Nuzul also included. Occasions or circumstances of revelation (asbāb al-nuzūl, أسباب النزول) names the historical context in which Quranic verses were revealed from the perspective of traditional Islam. One of these sciences of the Qur’an is the Asbab al-Nuzul, i.e. the occasions, reasons or causes of revelation. The Qur’an, as is well known, was revealed in instalments over a period of nearly twenty three years. Muslim scholars agree that the revelations of the Qur’an can be divided into two broad types. One type includes passages of the Qur’an which were revealed in response to specific events, incidents or questions put forward to the Prophet, Allah bless him and give him peace. The second type includes passages of the Qur’an which were not direct responses to any historical or social development in the life of the Muslim community.

How to use:
While most features of the app can be used intuitively, the asbab an nuzul section is a little different. Click on a surah to read a brief background and general info about the theme of the Surah/chapter and double click the Surah/chapter image to read its asbab-an-nuzul. Please note that NOT all verses of the Quran have asbab-an-nuzul attributed to them. This is so that when you open say Surah al-Baqarah which normally has 286 verses, you dont expect to see 286 asbab an-nuzul for it. In fact, some surahs havent any asbab al nuzul at all.
